Mother’s Day is just around the corner and with lock down still in place it is going to be a little bit different to the ones we are used to. That said there is no reason why we can’t still treat our mums to something nice, even if it means getting it delivered to them or watching them open it through a window or in the garden. We might just need to think a little harder about what we get them. Hopefully this list will inspire you when you start to search for gifts for mum this Mother’s Day.
A basket full of goodies
I think hampers and baskets full of goodies will always make great gifts for mums and this one is particularly lovely. It is from Buyagift and it is full of luxurious and indulgent treats including
-Joe & Seph’s Caramel, Honey & Hazelnut Popcorn est 32g
– Radfords Handmade West Country Clotted Cream Fudge
– R&R Robert & Reeves Prosecco 75cl
– Linden Lady Six Luxury Chocolate Selection with Gold & Copper Embellishments 60g
– Gold Crown Chocolate slab with Gold Dusted Almonds & Hazelnuts
– Ace Tea Lemon & Stem Ginger Tea Dunkers 150g
What I also really like is that unlike some hampers it does actually arrive in “a hamper” in this case it is a black wire basket which makes the whole gift look and feel expensive and obviously the basket can also be reused by mum.
This hamper is called the Ladies indulgence basket and costs £53.99. Buyagift also have lots of other hampers and baskets to choose from depending on your budget and tastes, including alcohol free ones, vegan ones and they even a chocolate lovers hamper that sounds delicious.

Gin and Vodka set
I have featured the Mermaid Gin a couple of times now both here and across my social media channels because it is one of my all time favourite gins and I recommend it to everyone. If your mum is partial to a gin then check out their original gin which is distilled in the Isle of White using ten ethically sourced botanicals. It has a smooth yet complex blend of fresh organic lemon zest and peppery grains, with a hint of sea air from locally foraged, fragrant rock samphire. If you are not sure what type of gin they like then this set is great as it has a mix of two plus a vodka.
The set contains 3 5cl bottles
1 original gin
1 pink gin
1 salt vodka
and they make the perfect gifts for mum.
Whiskey
Not all mums love gin, although admittedly I do. But for those that are more of a whiskey or bourbon drinker then how about this Four Roses small batch? It is a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey produced by the Kirin Brewery Company of Japan and according to my husband it is delicious and smooth. It retails at around £30 a bottle.
Jose Eber clipless HST curling iron
If you have a bit of a bigger budget and want to treat mum to something nice then how about the Jose Eber clipless curling iron. This fantastic little tool is the perfect way to create romantic waves without the damage. They are lightweight and offer an ergonomic form and have Cooltip technology to reduce heat at your hair’s weakest point – the tips – to save your locks from unnecessary creasing or crimping. They cost £120 from Harrods and will save you/your mum so much time when curling hair as they only take 5 seconds to create the perfect curl.

Most mums love chocolate and these ones are extra special. Let me introduce you to Booja Booja chocolates. They have a few boxes to choose from but the ones I got to samlpe were incredible. It contained 12 truffles in 4 different flavours

Stem Ginger

Decorative folding glass bistro table
If you have a bit of a smaller budget but still want to treat mum to that wow gift then how about one of these decorative folding glass bistro tables. They are practical but also exquisite and look far more expensive than the £21.99 they are. With spring well and truly making it’s presence known these tables are the perfect addition to any garden for a cup of tea (or glass of wine) in the sunshine. There are a few designs to choose from including poppies and butterflies but my favourite is the peacock. If you wanted to spend a little extra you could also get a chair or two to go with it.

No list of gifts for mum would be complete without a piece of jewellery or two. This heart necklace is from Engravers Guild of London and it is simple yet elegant and absolutely stunning. You can have your mums name engraved on the heart and then choose their Swarovski® birthstone crystal to be added onto to the solid 925 sterling silver necklace too. LoveLox Locket
I remember when I was growing up so many adults wore lockets with pictures inside. You had to get a picture that was taken from a distance so the persons face was tiny and then cut it out and shove it in the locket and hope it didn’t fall out. I loved them but they seemed a faff. Well, LoveLox have made them so much better. You can order a personalised locket and have an inscription engraved on the front and up to two digital photos on the inside. As the photos are digital you can choose any picture you like and LoveLox will simply shrink it to fit. For me this means I have been able to include two pictures that both contain all three of my children on, not just the heads of one on each side. The quality of the pictures is amazing, they are in colour and so clear. I absolutely love it. These lockets can be ordered from £60.
Forever Living Hydrating Serum
If you are looking to gift your mum a face cream with a difference then I can highly recommend the Forever Living Hydrating Serum. It combines four types of hyaluronic acid to boost hydration. Combined with aloe vera and other skin-loving ingredients such as white tea, mimosa bark, tamarind, and snow mushroom this hydrating serum helps shield against environmental stressors, and minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
You can order 50ml for £34.
