Ongoing Halloween Events on the Wirral
Pick Your Own Pumpkins at Claremont Farm
Claremont Farm is one of the best-known places for pumpkin picking on the Wirral. You head out into the field to choose your own pumpkin with a choice of the traditional orange pumpkins to white, green and unusually shaped varieties, great for carving and making autumn displays too.
There’s no entrance fee to the pumpkin patch, so you simply choose the pumpkins you want and pay according to their weight.
If you want you can make a day of it as they have a lovely farm shop and a café that sells delicious food, especially their breakfast menu.
Price: Free entry pay for the pumpkins you pick
Location: Old Clatterbridge Road, Bebington, Wirral, CH63 4JB
Benty Farm Pumpkin Picking & Halloween Trail
Benty Farm in Thurstaston combines pumpkin picking with plenty of Halloween photo opportunities and a children’s Halloween trail.
The 2026 pumpkin patch is scheduled to open at weekends from 3rd to 25th October, with advance tickets required for the pumpkin patch. Children can also take part in the separate Halloween Trail on pumpkin-picking days, which doesn’t need to be booked in advance.
This is a particularly good choice for younger children and families who want a little more to do than simply choosing a pumpkin. Wellies are a good idea, especially after wet weather.
Price: £2 entry; under-2s free. Pumpkins and the children’s Halloween Trail are charged separately
Location: Benty Farm Tearooms, 3a School Lane, Thurstaston, Wirral, CH61 0HH
Grimstage at Brimstage Farm
Brimstage Farm & Maze has confirmed that Grimstage will return for Halloween this year.
This Halloween the event at Brimstage is one to watch if you’re looking for a bigger seasonal attraction on the Wirral, particularly for families wanting more than a quick pumpkin-picking trip. Although details are yet to be released they have hinted at a spooky maze with some wicked alternatives to our favourite characters including, Cinderella, K-Pop and Wednesday Adams.
Price: To be confirmed for 2026
Location: Brimstage Farm, Brimstage Road, Brimstage, Wirral, CH63 6JA
