If you are looking for a family friendly holiday destination then we recommend Santo Tomas in Menorca. For those that don’t already know Menorca is one of Spain’s Balearic Islands near the Mediterranean sea but unlike the neighbouring islands of Ibiza and Majorca it is a little quieter which is why it is one of our favourite holiday destinations when travelling with young children. Here is everything you need to know about Santo Tomas in Menorca.
Santo Tomas in Menorca
Santo Tomás is a beautiful coastal resort located on the southern coast of Menorca. It’s known for its peaceful atmosphere, family-friendly environment, and stunning natural surroundings. It has two main sandy beaches, Playa Santo Tomás and Playa San Adeodato. Both are beautiful and perfect for swimming, sunbathing, water sports, and watching sunsets.
Although it is a quiet and tranquil resort town it still has a good selection of hotels, holiday apartments, restaurants, and shops but it doesn’t have much, if nay night life which is why its a popular family holiday resort with younger holiday goers preferring to go to the neighbouring islands of Ibiza for the beach bars, party life and adults only hotels. Here you can still enjoy a drink in the sun and evening entertainment in your hotel but most places will be shut by midnight.
If you just want to use Santo Tomás as a base then you can hire a car or use public transport to explore the Island. The capital, Mahon, is about 30 minutes in a car but if you want to stay put then the resort has lots to offer as it is surrounded by picturesque cliffs and pine forests, perfect for walking.
Santo Tomás is perfect for those looking for a laid-back family holiday experience, surrounded by nature and the beautiful Mediterranean sea.

They are modern, roomy and well equipped apartments and perfect for those that wantt o be able to out the children to bed and then sit in a lounge area or outside and enjoy some down time. The bathrooms have both a shower and bath, perfect for smaller children and the kitchens are brilliant for those who stay self catering.
