The BBC Summer Social Family Festival in Liverpool

At the start of June we took the boys to their first ever festival, Cheshire Fest, and we had such a good time that since then we have been looking for more family festivals that we can visit this year and are thinking of going to the BBC Summer Social (3-4 August, 2019).

It looks like it is going to be amazing, completely aimed at children and families and incredible value for money with everything that is on offer included in the one ticket price of £23.50, which breaks down to be 39p per activity on Saturday, and 50p per activity on Sunday and just £2.94 per hour of fun – bargain.

Taking place over two days, at Croxteth Park in Liverpool, BBC Summer Social promises to be a fantastic day out for the whole family with an enviable line-up of fabulous musical stars, the very best BBC, CBBC and CBeebies talent and the most popular family shows the BBC has to offer.  Boasting an area of 30 acres with a main stage, big top tent, BBC Sport activity area, Clangers Walled Garden, Deadly Dinosaur Park (low ropes activity), fun fair rides, inflatables field (featuring the world’s biggest bouncy castle and inflatable assault course), workshops, petting farm and entrance to Croxteth Hall all included in the ticket price, the fun filled two-day festival offers an ultimate value for money, family friendly experience.

There will be over 100 activities, artists and stars performing at this year’s festival, with acts on Saturday 3rd August ranging from Rak-Su, John Newman, New Hope Club, Max & Harvey, Nina Nesbitt, Freya Ridings, Four of Diamonds, Donel, Almost Never, The Next Step, Mersey Girls, Amelia Gething, Lewys Ball, HollyH and Rosie McClelland, to name a few.
