Flair Bea Midsleeper Cabin Bed by BedKingdom | Review

It doesn’t seem two minutes ago since we were building the Mokee cot bed for our newest addition but here we are upgrading her to her very own midsleeper cabin bed! I can’t believe how fast the time has gone. When we decided to move her from her cot bed to a ‘big girl bed’ we knew that a cabin bed would be the best option as her room is a small double so this would still allow her to have some usable floor space under the bed. However, I was worried about the height so when I found the Flair Bea midsleeper cabin bed at Bedkingdom it seemed like the perfect solution.

If you are looking for a cabin bed then here is everything you need to know about the one we were sent for review.

The Flair Bea Midsleeper Cabin Bed

The Flair Bea Midsleeper Cabin Bed is made from solid pine wood making it very durable. It has a slatted base to ensures optimal support and comfort and a raised side to prevent your child falling out. It also has a ladder that hooks over the side which can be screwed in to place for extra security making it easy for your child to access their bed safely.

As a midsleeper it is shorter than your usual cabin bed and comes in at 114.9cm (shorter than your average adult) making it great for younger children.

It is available in crisp white or grey and they also have a shorty size available too.

Dimensions L 199.6cm x D 97.1 – 127cm x H 114.9cm

The Flair Bea Midsleeper Cabin Bed from BedKingdom comes as flat pack and requires at home assembly.

Our review of the Flair Bea Midsleeper Cabin Bed

The bed arrived really quickly and was delivered withing the time slot I was was given which is always helpful when you have to wait in for deliveries. It came in two boxes, one containing the frame and instructions the other the slats.

We took the boxes upstairs and opened them all up and checked we had everything we needed before we started the build. It was a little tricky at first as the instructions have numbered all the wooden pieces but the actual ones aren’t numbered and they are all pretty similar so we spent a few minutes just measuring them all and making sure we knew which ones were which.

Then we got to work.

The instructions are not written instructions but pictures so you do have to check a few times and make sure everything looks right and matches the pictures. I think written instructions would be helpful, especially when it comes to the order in which to do things. However, once we got the hang of it it was pretty easy to build and took the two of us an hour and half from start to finish which I think was pretty good.

Once it was built it looked great. I loved the shade of grey and felt it went perfectly with her new pink wall. I also felt like the transition from a cot bed to a midsleeper cabin bed really transformed her room from a toddler’s room to a big girls room, a transition that was much needed.

The bed feels really sturdy and well built and the stairs are very secure too so overall I am really pleased with the quality and the design of the Flair Bea Midsleeper Cabin Bed. I also love the height and think it is perfect for us as I can still read her a bed time story when she is tucked up in bed without needing to stretch up to show her the pictures.

When we revealed the bed to our daughter, who didn’t even know she was getting a new bed let alone a cabin bed, she was so shocked and so pleased. She absolutely loves being up high and having a more grown up room and is already asking to invite her friends over to show them.

She also loves the gap underneath her bed, which I though would be great for storage but she thinks is perfect for playing with her dolls!

If you are looking for the perfect midsleeper cabin bed, or any other style of bed, then head over to Bedkingdom as they have a brilliant selection of beds for all styles and sizes of rooms.
