How to create a logo with Logojoy

When you decide to start your own blog or business one of the things you need to think about is the appearance of your product, the branding. You need to consider what people will associate with the name of your blog and what the image will be that it creates in their mind. You can help to shape this by creating a logo that you believe represents your blog in the way you want it to be represented to the public and then using this logo on all your advertising materials, blog posts, social media handles and any related products you may have that hold the blog or business name.

When I first started blogging, how to create a logo, or even any form of branding, wasn’t something I had considered. In fact, truth be told I didn’t give much thought to the name, The Strawberry Fountain, either, let alone create a relevant logo that would represent it for years to come. Over the last few years I have created a few logos and headers but nothing has really stuck as I am about as creative as a snail and everything I design ends up looking pants but not anymore. Not now I know the secret to creating a great, professional looking logo.

How to create a logo

If like me you are creatively stumped but need to produce a logo that will stand the test of time then you absolutely have to visit Logojoy. Logo jog is an online resource that helps create logos in a matter of minutes and is so simple to navigate. The only problem will be choosing which awesome design to keep.

Step 1

Logojoy starts by asking you to pick 5 of your favourite logos from a selection. Think about which ones grab your attention and are east to read or are easily recognisable.

Step 2

Select the colours that you want to use. If you haven’t already decided on your colour scheme then worry not as Logojoy not only shows you a selection of colours but also lists the emotions and psychological connotations linked to each colour to help you choose.

Step 3

Now tell them your company or blog name.

Step 4

Select up to 5 symbols from the 1000’s available. You can type in specific words to help you choose such as a word from the title – strawberry, or something that represents the blog – family.

This information will then be used to help you create your logo. The computer program will generate some mock up logos for you, simply choose your favourite and then, if you wish, you can make changes to the font, colours and layout until you are completely happy with your finished logo.

Simple, you now have a wonderful logo you can be proud of. All that is left to do is choose from one of their three packages, starting from $20.

Here is the one I created and I absolutely love it
