Last week we headed over to the Trafford Centre in Manchester where explored the Halloween activities at both Legoland Discovery Centre and Sea Life Manchester. Here you can find out everything you need to know before your visit to Sea Life Manchester, plus our top tips for getting the most out of your visit.
Halloween at Sea Life Manchester
This October Sea Life Manchester have got into the Halloween spirit to make your visit even more exciting than usual, here;s what you can expect:
Decorations
From the moment you arrive you can see a whole host of decorations in the foyer and these continue throughout the whole Sea Life both inside the tanks and dotted about in the walkways making it great fun to try and spot them all. From giant skeletons to singing pumpkins there is something to see everywhere you look.

Trick or Treat Questions
You can take a trick or treat quiz sheet with you at no extra cost and these questions match up with boards around the aquarium where you need to complete little quizzes and puzzles. Complete it correctly and hand it in at the shop on the way out and you might get a little treat!
Meeting Sea Witch or Warlock
Watch out at your exploring the tanks as you may just bump into a Witch or Warlock – don’t worry they aren’t too scary for the little ones.
Halloween games
You can join in with some Halloween games for the chance to win a little treat. We played toss the been bag in the pumpkin which was a hot with the kids especially when they won.
Overall review
Overall we had a lovely visit. It was educational and fun with lots of interactive areas like
- warming up the egg to see if the baby turtle will be a boy or a girl,
- crawling through the tunnels so it looks like you’re in with the fish
- watching the giant turtle and the sharks swim right over your head
- playing in the soft play
- and our favourite bit, stroking the star fish

The addition of the Halloween activities is lovely and the fact that it is all included in your normal entrance fee is great value for money. It is just the right amount of spooky and festive fun without being scary for the younger children. We also found that having a quiz to win a treat was a great way to keep the kids engaged and actively learning during our visit and stopped them from racing from one tank to the next without really paying attention.

Top Tips
- Book a multi attraction ticket and do both the Sea Life and Legoland on the same day
- Take yor time as it isn’t very big and it’s hard to go back on yourself once you get to the end as although it’s not a one way system as such it does feel like one
- Enjoy the interactive questions and encourage your child to find the answers as there are some fascinating facts to learn
- Have lunch before you go, or plan it for after, as there is no cafe inside just a couple of vending machines
