It might only be the first week of September but the boys are back at school and the weather has most definitely taken a turn for the worse here in the North West which means that is is absolutely fine to start thinking about Christmas, or at least I think it is. Up until now the highlight of the Christmas preparations has always been about visiting the main man himself but this year as the boys will be 6 and very nearly 9 and I’m not convinced they will be as excited about seeing Santa as they have been in previous years, so instead I am hoping they will be more excited about the little treat I have already lined up for them, tickets to The Snowman Tour in December.
Everyone has heard of the gorgeous story, The Snowman by Raymond Briggs and has read or watched one version or another of this beautiful tale, usually in the run up to Christmas. Well believe it or not this story is now actually 40 years old, which is just crazy, but the love for it is still there and after the success of the last 5 years Carrot Productions are once again bringing The Snowman to life for the 6th time with the ever popular Snowman Tour.
The production will see the film being shown on a large screen accompanied by a live orchestra as well as a soloist who will sing “Walking in the air” which will undoubtedly be the most magical experience and one I simply can not wait to experience with my family.
The tour will be performing at 16 venues across the country including some most impressive buildings such as the Chester Cathedral. You can check out the tour dates and locations here and then all that is left to do is snap up those tickets because if last year is anything to go by they will sell out fast.
(We have been gifted 4 tickets to this show in exchange for this pre view post and a follow up review after the production.)
