When I started blogging and carrying out reviews never did I expect to be writing about face masks. Or, if I had it would have been the fancy dress type of face masks not those required to keep germs at bay. But here we are living through a global pandemic with a need for face masks on a daily basis. In the early days of Covid most people were wearing either disposable face masks or those that are more like face shields but over time numerous companies and individuals have started to produce much nicer looking fabric ones, as well as sustainable and ethical face masks.
Benassie is one such company that has created a range of ethical face masks. They are one of the world’s few WRAP-certified, Gold Certificate manufacturers, meaning they make their products in accordance with the highest ethical standards. And as the Benassie masks are easy to wash and can be reused more than 200 times they are sustainable and much better for the environment than the disposable ones. In addition to this Benassie have also gone one step further and made the inner layer from recycled plastic bottles and the packaging is also recyclable and biodegradable, so if you are eco conscious then these face masks are perfect for you.
The Benassie face masks are proven to eliminate 99.8% of Covid 19 giving you peace of mind for you and your family. They have a number of designs available and what is even better is that Benassie have included children’s sized masks which are perfect for those aged 11 and over.
We were sent two of their ethical face masks to review, one adult and one child. I love the designs that we chose, especially the cameo one for my son. I feel that having reusable, child sized, individually designed masks is great for children and means they are more likely to wear them if they fit properly and it makes them feel less intimidating and surgical and more of a fashion statement.
The masks themselves feel well made and fit comfortably with adjustable straps and removeable moisture absorbing inserts. They are soft to touch and don’t make you feel claustrophobic like some masks I have used do.
If you are looking to invest in some fashionable, reusable masks then I highly recommend you look at the Benassie range and opt for sustainable and ethical face masks where possible.
