Our review of GreenWood Family Park

This was our very first trip to GreenWood Family Park and we took two of our children aged 6 and 13 and hoped that it would be fun for both of them. From the moment we arrived and we spotted the first attraction we realised that not only would both kids be equally happy here but that we could join in with most things too. I absolutely love this idea as it means that parents, carers or older siblings don’t have to spend most of the day standing on the sidelines watching, instead the whole family can get involved and make shared memories that will last a life time.

One of the things we loved most about GreenWood, other than the fact we could all join in, was the variety of activities available. There really is something for everyone, from adrenaline-fuelled water slides, zip wires and the rollercoaster, to more hands-on and sporty activities such as archery, den building and the maze for problem-solvers and practical thinkers. There are also animal encounters and a farm corner for the animal lovers, while the barefoot trail offers a fun sensory experience for those that are happy to get their feet dirty. There are also plenty of playgrounds and outdoor spaces where children can burn off energy plus regular shows for when you need to sit down and relax for a bit. The variety is fantastic.

For us the main highlight was definitely the water slides, which were a huge hit with both the children and the adults as we took turns racing each other to the bottom.

Our son also loved the den building and got stuck in with that too whilst our daughter couldn’t get enough of the bouncy pillow.

We visited on one of the hottest days of the year so far and really appreciated the many sheltered areas around the park, providing welcome shade when needed. The coolest place was probably the den building area, so make not if you go in summer and need to cool off.

It’s also great to see that GreenWood Family Park is dog-friendly, making it an even better choice for a family day out, especially if you are on holiday in North Wales and need to take your dog with you.

Overall, GreenWood Family Park offers a brilliant mix of adventure, outdoor play, learning and family fun. We left with lots of happy memories and would highly recommend it to families looking for a fun-filled day out in North Wales.
