The Indoor Funfair in Liverpool | Review

The indoor funfair is back in Liverpool for the end of 2024 and beginning of 2025. It is the perfect family attraction for this awkward time of year when the weather’s rubbish, Christmas is over but the kids don’t go back to school for another week and you simply don’t know what to do with yourselves.

The indoor funfair is open from Saturday 24th December 2024 to Sunday 6th January 2025 at the Exhibition Centre in Liverpool. Each session lasts 3 hours with various start times but most dais offer a morning, afternoon and evening session. There are also quiet sessions available on Saturday 28th December 10am-1pm and Saturday 4th January 10am-1pm for those that prefer the fair with no loud music and limited numbers.

Tickets cost £13.99 for riders when booked online and in advance and there is also an option to have a spectator band for £6 too. If you have a rider band these mean you can ride as many rides as you want as many times as you want (height restrictions apply) making it incredibly good value for money.

The Indoor funfair Liverpool review

We attended the Indoor Funfair on 29th December and it felt like a great “twixmas” activity. We arrived at 3pm to find the doors had already opened which was great as it meant we weren’t queuing for long and we got a full three hours on the rides.

We were very impressed by the amount and the selection of rides. We had children ranging from 5 to 12 with us and a mix of adrenalin junkies and those that lie to keep their feet on the ground and there were rides for everyone.

Our youngest had a wonderful time and went on so many rides as well as bouncy castle activity centres, trampolines and a fun house too. There are rides that are suitable for really small kids from about 2-3 where they just sit in a vehicle and go round in a circle as well as some that are great for those that are a bit older and braver and like rides that are a little bit faster.

The old ones (12) also loved it and managed to go on all the rides they wanted to, some more than once. They particularly loved the Twist.

Extra charges

You don’t need to spend any money once inside if you don’t want to. Obviously there are food vendors, drink sellers, sweet shops and games where you can pay to play but there are no additional mandatory payments needed and all rides are included in the price.

Overall thoughts

Overall we had a great time and found it to be great value for money, especially as the spectator tickets are perfect for parents that need to supervise but don’t want to ride. There is a great selection of rides and although it is busy there were never any overly long queues. I think the longest we queued for a little ride was 5 minutes for the trampolines as they are timed sessions and then maybe a couple of minutes for bigger rides if one was full but they’d always get the next one.

If you’re looking for something for the whole family to do together or have kids with big age gaps and find it hard to please them all then the Indoor Funfair is a great solution.
