The majority of people know that in order to stay safe in the sun they can wear sun lotion, sun hats, sun glasses and drink plenty of water BUT not many people know that  when swimming outside in the sun our eyes are still exposed, even if we are wearing goggles. Aqua sphere have designed some sun safe goggles that can protect your eyes whilst you swim.

  1. I wear clothing and a wide-brimmed hat to protect as much skin as possible. I protect my eyes with sunglasses that block at least 99% of UV light and I use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher, reapplying at least every 2 hours, as well as after swimming or sweating.

  2. I always make sure to wear sun cream, but i try to wear white long clothing so i keep as cool as possible while protecting myself

  3. Sunglasses ( as eyes require protection). Aim for sufficient fluids / refreshments :- As need to maintain hydration and avoid dehydration. Cool comfortable clothing such as cotton. Appropriate sunscreen cream / lotion application :- There is the need to keep up to date in regards to guidance regarding SPF factor, frequency of applications, etc. Rest periods in the shade. Comfortable, appropriate footwear. Limit time in sunshine ( especially direct sunshine, etc). We thankfully are not sun worshippers, we prefer activities, sightseeing, swimming, entertainment, etc.

  4. I wear a hat, I wear sun lotion SPF 25+ and reapply every 2 hours. I stay out of the sun between 10 and 4 and I wear sunglasses to protect my eyes.

  5. Tempted to just say – living in Blighty is enough…but I know it really isn’t so stay clear of sun bathing, use caps and sunnies and ofcourse take care with sun cream.

  6. As a year round outdoor swimmer, I’m mostly in a wetsuit with a swim hat so pretty much covered up but these goggles are a great idea as my current googles don’t offer any eye protection and it is important .

  7. I always use sunscreen, it’s a special 50SPF from Korea (they do the BEST sun creams they aren’t sticky or greasy and always work)

  8. By hiding indoors – unless I’m running. Then the cream is on, the shades are tight and the water is strapped on to my back!

  9. I always use high factor waterproof sun cream, as I love to go in the sea. I also stay in the shade during the midday hours. I always make sure I drink plenty too & I like to wear a hat with neck protection to save getting sunstroke.

  10. I always use the highest suncream, and wear a bucket hat that protects the neck as well, rather than just a cap.

  11. I use at least factor 50 sun screen and make sure to put it everywhere, including my ears and the backs of my knees, which I think are places people forget quite often.

  12. What a great idea, I wouldn’t even have thought of protective swimming goggles! It’s common sense when you think about it, you wear sunglasses to protect your eyes, after all. It’s so important to be careful of our eyes as too much sun exposure can cause real problems, even if they don’t surface for years.

  13. I use a factor 50 sun cream and regularly re-apply. Plus running around after the kids in the garden wielding a parasol to keep them shaded whilst constantly reminding them to drink plenty

  14. I stay out of the sun at peak hours and I always wear suntan lotion, even in winter as I have very pale skin.

  15. I use a daily moisturiser that has SPF 50 in it at all times even in winter. I always use high factored suncreams with 5 star UVA and UVB protection too

  16. I always cover up in the sun and try and stay out of it as much as I can. I use SPF50 especially on my face.

  17. I always wear a hat and sunscreen. Also I try to spread out my time between the sun and the shade. I’m also even more cautious when it’s sunny bnut windy because the wind makes you believe that it’s not as hot as it really is.

  18. Stay in the shade in the middle of the day, wear a broad-brimmed hat and always wear sunscreen and sun glasses

  19. Sun cream seems to aggravate my sensitive skin so I tend to keep covered up in and rarely go out in the hottest part of the day unless I can find some shade

  20. To be honest, I should protect my skin more but I do try and keep hydrated which can make a huge difference in any kind of heat.

  21. I usually get suncream with 50+ protection as I have fair skin – and try to wear sunhat every time I am out for longer
