The cake selection that came with our afternoon tea included macarons, cupcakes and Victoria sponge cakes.
How much does it cost?
To get the above sparkling afternoon tea delivered to your door costs £42.85, which is broken down to £37.90 for the afternoon tea and £4.95 for delivery via a courier service. You can also add on a gift message for free and if you don’t already have one you can order a cake stand for an additional £8.50. The cake stands are really cute, self assembly and made from china and come in their own gift box.
Our Review
The sparkling afternoon tea is delivered in a gorgeous gift box with additional boxes inside keeping all the cakes and treats separate and secure. Once opened it looks impressive and would definitely make a lovely gift for someone, or of course, a treat for yourself.
All of the treats were delicious, my favourites were the chocolate covered strawberries which made a great addition and something I haven’t seen in an afternoon tea before. These were followed closely by the macarons and then the Victoria sponge cake, although like I said it was all amazing.
The only downside for me is that there is no savory options available with the afternoon tea. Don’t get me wrong there was plenty of food and it was good value for money but an afternoon tea for me includes sandwiches or some sort of savory dish alongside the cakes and other sweet treats. However, if you are looking for something that focuses on the cakes, want to make your own sandwiches or are buying one as a gift for someone else and think a few sandwiches look a bit naf then this is the sparkling afternoon tea for you.
