Martha Hill Cruelty Free Beauty Products | Review

If you are looking to upgrade your beauty products and introduce some more cruelty free brands to your regime then Martha Hill is a brand that you need to try, especially if you are looking for a new anti-ageing day creme.

What is Martha Hill?

The Martha Hill beauty range was established in 1942 and has just celebrated its 80th year. It was created by Martha Hill (1911-2004) herself, who was a pioneer in both fashion and cruelty free beauty products. All of the Martha Hill products are formulated using only natural ingredients that react to your skin’s daily needs, giving you the best results.

The range is diverse with something for everyone and is available from Beauty Naturals with prices starting from as little as £6. If you’re looking for a gift for someone else then they also offer gift sets.

Review of Martha Hill Beauty Products

I was very kindly sent a selection of the Martha Hill beauty products and here is what I thought of them. On first impressions I noticed that they have opted for a very simple packaging of white and gold which I do think makes these products look a bit old fashioned and easy to miss which is a shame, especially as the products themselves are lovely.

Conditioning hand cream

The conditioning hand cream is designed to soothe and condition dry skin. I found it to be good value for money as a little goes along way. It soaked in quickly and left my hands feeling soft and moisturised with no sticky residue so I could get on with my day as soon as I had applied it. The hand cream I was sent was the camomile & calendula one which does have a strong fragrance that lasts for at least an hour on your hands, or until you wash them, it was a bit too strong for me but if you like a lot of fragrance you will love it.

Honey Cleansing lotion

The honey cleansing lotion has a much milder fragrance than the hand cream which I preferred. It was easy to use and visibly removed make up and dirt when used with cotton pads. It also left my skin feeling nice and smooth and if you are in the market for a new cleanser I would suggest giving this one a try, especially if you suffer with dry or problem skin.

Eye contour gel

The eye contour cream was one of my favourite products. I loved how it always felt cold when I applied it, giving me quick cooling effect that felt like it was immediately getting to work on reducing the puffiness around my eyes in the morning. It also dried quickly so there was little waiting around before I applied my face creams and again there is only a subtle scent of elderflower which is nice and refreshing.

Anti-aging all day creme gel

The anti-aging all day creme gel is the newest product in the Marth Hill range it is;

  • Newly formulated with ground breaking natural probiotics preBiulin FOS™
  • Protects and restores the skin’s microbiota barrier
  • Light weight, quick absorbing and non greasy
  • Instantly firms the skin
  • Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive

It was also my favourite out of the four products that I tried and I was impressed with the affordable price tag. It was easy to apply and the pump action applicator meant I didn’t use too much at once. It soaked in quickly and didn’t leave any sticky residue on my skin. I also found that my make-up sat nicely on top so it acted like a primer too.

Overall I was impressed with the Martha Hill products and love the fact they are cruelty free too.
