The RecovaPro massage gun

Just before Christmas I was sent the Recovapro lite massage gun to review. I hadn’t heard of it before and when I first looked into it I thought it was a piece of professional equipment aimed at Physiotherapists that work with professional athletes.

Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!

How wrong was I? It is most definitely suitable for everyone.

What is the RecovaPro lite?

For those that, like me, haven’t heard of it before the RecovaPro lite is a hand held massage gun. It comes with 4 attachments that all target different areas of the body and has 5 different speed settings reaching up to a maximum of 2800 percussions per minute depending on how intense you want the massage to be.

The four attachments are

  •  Ball – large muscle groups
  •  Fork – neck and in between the spine
  •  Flat – quads, Hamstrings and calves
  •  Bullet – pin point treatment and alleviation of knots

The RecovaPro lite only weighs 700 grams and comes in it’s own carry case making it perfect to take with you when travelling or competing.

What are the benefits of using the RecovaPro lite?

Obviously the first benefit of using the RecovaPro lite is pleasure. It feels dam nice to have a massage, especially if you have achy muscles or particularly sore areas. However, there are also a number of other benefits to using the RecovaPro, especially if you are an athlete or exercise regularly, these include:

  •  Naturally relieves chronic & acute pains
  •  Promotes muscle Warm-up & Recovery
  • Encourage blood circulation
  •  Relieve muscle soreness & stiffness
  • Improves range of motion & flexibility
  •  Relaxes the body for better sleep

Is it worth the money?

You can pick up a RecovaPro lite for anything between £159- £259 depending on offers and sales. If you train often or suffer from a chronic pain related illness and would use this regularly then I do think they are worth the money. However, as I always say when reviewing items that may be deemed to be of a high value it is only ever worth it if you can afford it. You do not NEED one of these to be able to train but it is great and if you do find that you have regular massages then being able to use this at home may indeed save you money in the long run.

So yes this is totally worth the money if you can afford it. I love mine and I don’t thin it is a gimmick or overpriced.

Overall thoughts

Overall I love my RecovaPro lite. It has been used so much recently, especially after my runs and will no doubt help me with my recovery between runs as I complete the virtual end to end race this year. I love how it comes in it’s own carry case meaning you can easily take it with you where ever you go and it is so easy to use that you do not need to be a professional sports masseuse or have any knowledge of anatomy, physiology or massage to be able to use it. You simply point and press.

You can also use the discount code FBASILE to save even more money on their current sale price if you order direct.

(I was sent the RecovaPro lite to test out in exchange for a review. All opinions are my own).
