Personalised advent calendars are becoming increasingly popular. In fact advent calendars of any description are definitely becoming more and more popular each year with people not just buying them for their own children but also buying them as gifts for others or even as a special treat for themselves. There are even advent calendars available pets too.
When I was a child there were two types of advent calendars. Those filled with a daily chocolate treat, which is what we had, and cotton ones that parents filled themselves. Nowadays however, there are so many different types of advent calendars that you really are spoilt for choice. You can chose from ones that offer up a building block a day till you can build something on the 24th, a daily piece of stationery, a new toy or even a daily book. And as for adults you can literally get everything from alcohol to beauty products and perfume to cheeses. If you can think it I am sure you can probably buy it and failing that you can always buy a do it yourself kit and create one.
There really is an advent calendar for everyone now, including my favourite addition the personalised advent calendars.
Personalised advent calendars
Foto insight are helping you to create your very own personalised advent calendars for less than £10. Using your favourite photo, whether it’s of a loved one, a treasured pet, or the landscape of dreams they will transform it into your very own personalised advent calendar complete with chocolate.
For mine I chose a beautiful picture of my boys and one of my all time favourite chocolates, Kinder breno, but you could choose to have it filled with ferrero rocher or continental chocolates instead if you prefer.
These personalised advent calendars from Foto Insight start at £9.99 and mine arrived within a week of ordering which I felt was fast for a personalised item. The quality looks brilliant the picture is really clear and of course the chocolates are delicious. However, I do feel slightly guilty at the thought of ripping open the doors on their face – but hey it leads to chocolate so I guess I’ll get over it!
Personally I think these personalised advent calendars are a really unique idea and a great twist on the classic advent. They would make great gifts for others, especially grandparents or relatives that live further away and don’t get to see the children as often, a different way to send them an updated picture perhaps whilst also celebrating Christmas.
