Inglewood Manor Afternoon Tea | Review

This week I had the absolute pleasure of being invited, along with a small selection of other bloggers, for a festive Inglewood Manor afternoon tea, one the most quintessential of English customs and I was delighted to be able to attend.

Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!

Inglewood Manor is perfectly located because it is situated away from all of hustle and bustle of city life in a spot of countryside in Ledsham, yet only 10 minutes from Cheshire Oaks, giving you the perfect opportunity to hide away from it all for a day or two or relax after a fun filled shopping trip.

I have wanted to visit Inglewood Manor for a long time but until now had never had the chance, so as you can imagine I was excited to get the opportunity to go and have a look around for myself. From the moment I arrived I felt like I was somewhere special. With it’s sweeping driveway lit up in the dark leading to the breathtakingly beautiful black and white manor building that looks every bit as inviting as you would hope, it is a location with the wow factor.

Once inside I went to meet the ladies for our Inglewood Manor afternoon tea and was greeted by two lovely members of staff, a roaring log fire, and a big open staircase that stops you in your tracks. And as Christmas is now less than a month away Inglewood Manor is all dressed up and ready for the main event, looking superb and giving off all the Christmas feels.

Before we were seated for our afternoon tea we where given a tour of the hotel which is exactly what I was hoping for and it definitely didn’t disappoint. In fact I want to stay now even more than I did before. Each room is decorated in a different way from the four poster bed in the honey moon suite to the grand black princess style bed in the double room, all styled to a high standard with everything you could need for your stay and each room is spacious with fantastic views across the estate and out in to the Cheshire countryside.

After having a little nose around we were  seated for our afternoon tea in yet another beautifully decorated room with a floor to ceiling Christmas tree that can’t help but get you in the festive mood.

Inglewood Manor Afternoon Tea Review

The afternoon tea itself was beautiful. There was plenty of choice and more than enough food per person. It includes a selection of sandwiches, pastries, scones and cakes. Everything you would expect form a good afternoon tea. You can also choose to enjoy your food with either a glass of fizz or a more warming cup of tea or coffee.

Appearance is important and the Inglewood Manor afternoon tea looks as good as it tastes. It is served on  three tiered sliver platter with individual jars of jam making that little bit more sophisticated than some other afternoon teas I have enjoyed. As well as the presentation of the food itself the presentation of the table was also beautiful with large candles lighting up the room reminding me of Beauty and the Beast.

Inglewood Manor have clearly thought of everything, from the way the food is presented to how attentive the staff are to the needs of their guests, making this a treat to be treasured this Christmas.

On the whole I found Inglewood Manor had a lovely relaxed feel to it, one that makes you want to sit in the communal areas cossied up in front of the fire with a glass of red and a good book, which is exactly what some of the guests were doing. Somehow the staff have managed to turn Inglewood Manor into a home from home, if of course your home is a stately manor house! But you get the idea.  Inglewood manor is much more than just a meal, or afternoon tea, it is much more than a bed for the night it is in fact an experience, a real treat, and regardless of whether you stay for an hour or the whole night I am convinced you will leave feeling relaxed, happy and desperate to return.

You can currently book the afternoon tea at Inglewood Manor for £19.99 per person direct from the hotel or grab a bargain from here and I would highly recommend you do so as this will make a great Christmas treat for you and your friend and family.
