Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!

This is the first time ever that Dragon Ball toys have been available in the UK for the kids’ and toy market, and as you can imagine fans of the show are going wild with anticipation and can’t wait to get their hands on them.

The range includes everything from super-sized Limit Breaker figures, to mini-blind bag collectables, with something to please every fan and meet all budgets, with prices starting from only £2.99.

Our review of the Dragon Ball Toys

My boys were extremely lucky to get their hands on some of these new Dragon Ball toys in time for the launch,  including:

Super shrink your Super Saiyan collection bag which is a sealed bag that contains a 5cm Super Collectable figure plus a stand inside to display your Dragon Ball figure on. There are 10 Dragon Ball Super characters to collect and at only £2.99 each these are great pocket money toys. My boys have always loved the idea of blind bag toys and these were no exception as the excitement of uncovering their character was contagious.

The all-new Dragon Stars (RRP: £19.99, ages 4+).  These are highly detailed 17cm figures. Each figure has 17 or more points of articulation meaning that they can be posed in over 9,000 different positions, making it easy to recreate your child’s favourite scene from the program. Each figure also comes with a second set of hands and/or accessories making them even more interactive. If you are familiar with the show then you will be glad to hear this range includes the following characters  Goku, Vegeta, Gogeta, Gohan, Bardock, Piccolo, Broly, and Krillin.

Super-Saiyan-sized Limit Breaker figures (RRP: £14.99, ages 4+)  This is the largest toy of all at an awesome 30cm, great for the younger fan out there. Each of the figures in this range features a show-inspired design and comes with five points of articulation. Characters include Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, and Frieza.

My boys were not familiar with the Dragon Ball anime series before being gifted these toys, yet that didn’t seem to matter as the tiddler (aged 7) was more than happy to create his own mini scenarios for each character and is now all set to watch the program this week to find out more about the characters he has.

Overall we found that all the products are well made and very good value for money. Somewhat surprisingly the favourite was the £2.99 mystery super collectable bag as they love the idea of trying to guess which collectable will be inside and if they will have any swopsies if they already have it. At only £2.99 I can see these being the next big playground toy for primary school children.

If your child is a fan of Dragon Ball and desperate to get  their hands on these new Dragon Ball toys, or you think this is a new series your child may like then you can find the brand new Dragon Ball range at Smyths, Argos, B&M and Game.
