Top 5 Restaurants In Liverpool

As a family we love Liverpool and having just relocated to the Wirral we are now in a position where we can jump on a train and be there in half hour, hassle free with no toll charges, tunnels or the dreaded parking. With this is mind I am under no doubt that we will be spending a good part of the summer holidays exploring Liverpool with the kids and seeing what it has to offer. As well as wanting to explore the city, hit the shops and check out a few museums we are also keen to try out some new restaurants in Liverpool as it has a bit of a reputation for housing some of the best.

The top 5 restaurants in Liverpool

Mowgli

Mowgli is a chain of restaurants that you can find across the UK and their Liverpool branches (they have 2) are definitely on our list of places to try this summer. Mowgli offers Indian street food which looks amazing but the real appeal for visiting as a family is due to the fact that they have tables with swings instead of chairs which sounds like so much fun and something the kids would love.

The Floating Grace

Another must visit restaurant in Liverpool to add to our list is The Floating Grace. They offer British dishes that sound delicious but once again it isn’t just about the food for us but also about the experience as a whole and when eating here you are eating on board a boat as it floats down the Mersey. This sounds like a real experience and who wouldn’t love dinner with a view.

The Florist

The Florist is one of the most instagramable restaurants in Liverpool, if not the UK. It offers mainly British grill dishes and floral themed cocktails in a setting that is simply breathtaking. I am not sure this is one that we would visit with the kids as I would be too worried the toddler would try and pick the flowers but I think it sounds like the perfect venue for a date night.

Lu Ban Bar and Restaurant

Lu Ban‘s offers both small and large plates that are inspired by the Chinese region of Tianjin.  It is an award winning restaurant in the Baltic Triangle and you can book private dining experiences as well as a seat at the chefs table making this a must visit if you have a special celebration coming up.

TBC Unlimited Dining

A little further out, near The Climbing Hangar in Speke, is a restaurant called TBC unlimited dining experience. This restaurant is like a glimpse into the future of dining as they have replaced your usual waiters and waitresses with robots! That’s right, to  order your food you need to download the app, select your items and sit patiently until it is delivered to your table by robots. I feel like this is one of those things that everyone has to experience at least once in their life just to see if it really is as good as it sounds. Not only does this seem incredibly entertaining but the menu looks brilliant too with a whole host of authentic Chinese dishes on offer and the best bit is you can order as much as you like. What’s not to love?
