Things to Do Tonight to Make Your Morning Easier

When you have kids mornings can be dicey. There is always someone who’s hungry, someone who’s thirsty, someone who needs their clothes on, and someone has to help with the kids’ shoes. Getting out the door with children can be difficult.

Here are four things to do tonight to make your morning easier.

1)  Lay Out Kids’ Clothes and Shoes the Night Before:

This sounds simple, but this one step saves me more time every morning than anything else. By laying out the clothes the night before, I can see if something that they need to wear tomorrow is still in the laundry and needs to be washed or if I need to choose something else for them to wear. Laying out the shoes with the clothes eliminates the drama that inevitably happens when we don’t do this.

2) Pack Lunches and Lay Out Breakfast Items:

Do it the night before to make sure all the ingredients needed are available. I also like to lay out all the breakfast dishes and dry food items so that they are all within easy reach. Save yourself a bunch of time in the morning and prepare everything food related that you can the night before.

3)  Pack All Bags: Have a child going to school?

Make sure their backpack is loaded up with all homework papers, books, and anything else they need to take with them to school. Have a baby going to nursery school? Make sure their bag is packed with any essentials they might need for the day.

 

4) Go To Bed On Time:

This one is crucial to being able to wake up on time. Making sure your little one gets the proper amount of sleep ensures that the whole day goes well for them. Making sure YOU get the proper amount of sleep ensures that you can get up on time to get yourself ready to start the day well.
