Mother’s Day is on Sunday 27th March this year and if you are still wondering what to buy your Mum then check out our latest Mother’s Day Gift Guide below for some inspiration. This year we have a real selection of gift ideas to suit all mums and all bank balances!
Jewellery can make for a wonderful gift. You can chose pieces that will be worn daily or those that are just for special occasions, personalised keepsakes or more elegant and timeless items. The trick, however, is knowing what your mum likes. Here we have three very different pieces to help inspire you and of course if these aren’t quite right then do check out the websites for each brand for further more inspiration.
First up is this exquisite Triple Gold Russian Rings necklace from a new jewellery brand, MYRI. You can have each ring personalised for free with a different word or name if you want, so if you are buying this as a gift for someone who has three children or three grandchildren then it would work perfectly. However it still looks beautiful left empty or with only one or two rings engraved.
The next piece is a combination of gold and silver, ideal for mums that prefer a silver chain. It is from the Secret sentiment lockets collection and is named heart of gold from Joma Jewellery. It has a silver outer heart with a gold heart inside which is inscribed with heart of gold.
If you think your mum already has enough necklaces then how about the Wellness Gem Rose Quartz bracelet also from Joma Jewellery. This piece has been carefully designed to radiate positivity and encourage beautiful mantras into your life. The Wellness Gem bracelet is finished with real semi-precious rose quartz stones and a golden wellness charm that’s intricately inscribed with this bracelet’s powerful property – positivity, love and compassion.
You can’t go wrong with a nice box of chocolates and Guylian Belgian chocolates are definitely a nice box of chocolates. Whether these are a stand alone gift or a little something extra to go alongside another present they will be sure to put a smile on her face. Guylian Master’s Selection is a premium assortment of Belgian mini pralinés filled with a variety of exotic flavours and topped off with the finest ingredients. The only question is, will your mum share these with you or do you need to buy an extra box for yourself?
If your mum loves to read then why not treat her to a new book or three. You could opt for something by her favourite author or introduce her to someone new such as Ross Patrick and his A new dark age. Or perhaps she would prefer something a little bit different and special like The Original which is a collection of short stories written by children during lockdown.
If your mum is anything like me she will definitely appreciate some new face creams this Mother’s day and here we have three different brands to help inspire you.
Transformulas is an award winning skincare and beauty brand. They have several amazing products that can be bought individually, however, they have also created two gift sets specifically for Mother’s Day.
Or they have the Marine Queen set, pictured below, which contains their iconic signature Marine Miracle Creme and the Marine Miracle EyeZone. These are perfect for those that want to smooth, soothe, hydrate and reduce fine lines. This set is so good the Marine Miracle Creme has even been labelled “better than a knife” by Woman & Home Magazine & “Botox in a Jar” by Daily Mail.
The Organic Pharmacy
The second skincare range I wan to share with you is The Organic Pharmacy and their Rejuvenating Skincare kit.
This is the skincare routine starter kit for a brighter, smoother, more youthful, glowing and hydrated complexion. It contains
Antioxidant cleansing jelly
Rose plus marine collagen
Rose plus brightening Lotion
Rose plus age renewal cream
Enzyme peel mask
and a muslin cloth.
If you are wanting to treat mum to some new face creams but have a smaller budget or perhaps are buying for a younger mum and don’t want to go down the anti aging route then I highly recommend you have a look at Altruist. These products have all been developed by Dr. Andrew Birnie, a Consultant Dermatologist and skin cancer surgeon with the desire to reduce the number of skin cancer patients by increasing the availability and quality of sunscreen products. Therefore the whole Altruist range contains high levels of SPFF meaning that as well as moisturising the skin they protect it.
Arran Hand Care Set
If your mum likes beauty products but you are unsure about face creams or new routines then how about something like the Arran Hand Care Set. There are currently 5 different fragrances available in the hand care sets including the one pictured below which is the gorgeous grapefruit and green leaf. Each set contains a 300ml bottle of hand wash and a 300ml bottle of hand cream. Both products smell divine and really feel like luxury products. If you are not familiar with the Arran brand then do have a look at their website. All their products are inspired by the natural beauty that can be found on the Isle of Arran and are made in Scotland.
If your mum is more in to her interior design than skin care and jewellery, or perhaps she has a special reading chair that is just crying out for a new cushion, then have a look at Marokka. They currently have an animal and world grey and yellow cushion collection that is stylish yet fun. On one side is a word and on the other an animal or shape. All of the cushions are made from organic cotton and the inner cushion is made from 100% recycled drinks bottles so they are eco-friendly too.
There are 3 different designs in the set and you can either buy just one or the full collection.
Some mums love to be in the kitchen cooking up a storm and experimenting with different flavours. If that sounds like your mum then a Spice Tin from Spice Kitchen might just be the perfect gift for them. There are several tins to choose from including a chilli collection, baby spice tin and a gin botanical tin. The one pictured below is the Indian spice tin and it contains
- Garam Masala (20g)
- Chilli Powder (20g)
- Cumin Seeds (20g)
- Ground Coriander (20g)
- Turmeric Powder (20g)
- Mustard Seeds (20g)
- Cassia (5g)
- Cardamom (2g)
- Cloves (1g)
- Recipe book
All the above are presented in a tin wrapped in the most beautiful hand sewn sari wrap. As an added bonus when you buy one of the spice tins you also get the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping to ensure a schoolchild receives a nutritious meal in the UK and India.
Red Letter Days Voucher
If you want to treat mum to an experience rather than a gift then I highly recommend you have a look at Red Letter Days. They have over 6,000 gift experiences to choose from including afternoon teas and sky diving, nights away and driving experiences and everything in between. Whatever your mum is in to you are bound to find something for them. You might even want to buy a voucher for two and enjoy some quality time together doing something you will both enjoy, after all memories are priceless.
And don’t forget the cards
You can pick up a mother’s Day card in most supermarkets if you leave it till the last minute but why not be organised this year and opt for a personalised card from Maloni’s that clearly shows you were thinking of mum in advance. As a mum myself I can assure you that a thoughtful gift or card will be much appreciated. Maloni’s have some lovely designs to choose from and you can of course personalise them with you own family names making them even more special.
They even do Mother’s Day cards from bumps and pets too!
I hope this has helped you to decide what to buy your mum this Mother’s Day.
