Sugar Loaf Soap | Review

One of the best things about being a blogger is the opportunities it brings for me and my family. The majority of the time we are invited to family friendly attractions but a few times a year I am sent some goodies just for me and it always makes me smile, especially when those goodies are as beautiful as these ones from The Sugar Loaf Soap Company.

Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!

What is the Sugar Loaf?

The Sugar Loaf Soap Company is a Welsh distributor based in a little barn at the foot of the Sugar loaf mountain in the Brecon beacons of Wales. They produce a range of handmade beauty products, from high quality, ethically sourced raw materials. From the package I have received it is evident that a lot of love and thought goes into both the making of these products and the presentation of them.

The Sugar Loaf Soap Company box contained 5 items.

Vanilla & Oatmeal mineral soak. These are made from “a blend of sea salts, epsom salts and sodium bicarbonate, to help you relax, unwind and draw toxins away in the bath.” They smell gorgeous and once added to the bath the vanilla scent fills the bathroom and helps you to relax. When using these I found that a little goes along way. If vanilla isn’t your fragrance of choice they are also available in lavender or rose scents.

Honey and Vanilla lip balm. This lip balm is the first handmade lip balm I have ever come across and I love it, it’s one of my favourite products in the box. It literally melts onto your lips making them feel soft and luxurious and lasts ages. This item is only £3 which I think is a bargain for a handmade product and I would recommend adding one to your order to try.

Lemongrass, honey and oatmeal soap. This handmade soap is beautifully presented in a small heart shape. I think these make a great addition to any bathroom and definitely add the feminine touch. The lemongrass fragrance is strong and fresh and the soap leaves your hands feeling clean and soft. I took one look at this bar of soap and instantly thought wedding favours, when I went to the website it seems I am not the only one with this idea as you can order them single or wrapped as favours.

Intensive facial serum. This product “is a blend of highly potent plant oils providing the ultimate in skin-boosting nutrients.  Containing sweet almond, avocado, rosehip, calendula and jojoba oils, the serum is suitable for all skin types. Subtle hints of rose and geranium essential oils also help to relax and promote well-being.”

This is my favorite product in the box, the fragrance is divine, subtle but strong enough to enjoy and reminds me of essential oils used in expensive spas, giving you a feel good pamper experience in the comfort of your own home. Since using this product my skin has definitely felt softer and smoother.

Rose geranium soap. I couldn’t review The Sugar Loaf Soap Company without reviewing one of their handmade bars of soap. Once again the presentation of this item is brilliant, making it look extra special if you are giving it as a gift. The soap itself also looks impressive adding a sense of luxury to your bathroom. The scent of the soap is a sweet romantic one that I could breathe in over and over again, just heavenly.

If you are looking for a nice treat for yourself or perhaps a gift for someone else then you must check out the Sugar Loaf company website for some inspiration.
