I love tea. Any sort of tea. Green, Black, Camomile, and of course afternoon tea. You name it, I probably have it or have at least tried it, so when I came across Positivitea I knew I was going to love them! I also love a good old fashioned tea set, whether it be an old chintzy china set or antique silver one ( visit AC Silver, if silverware is your thing) tea always tastes better in tea cup.
Where did Positivitea come from?
Well, “Ellie is a writer, yoga teacher and tea devotee. During a period of upheaval in her life she studied the chakras and found them to be incredibly helpful as spiritual guidelines in the process of self-healing and the recovery of balance. Ellie created Positivitea to help make the chakras more accessible to others in the form of a simple, thoughtful and ultimately delicious range of teas. Being able to combine three of her passions in one product whilst spreading a bit of positivity at the same time is a dream come true and the cherry on top of the proverbial cake.”
I’m still trying to get my head around chakras but I do love the idea of tea helping you feel balanced. After all, people have been using tea for health benefits for thousands of years!
I was kindly gifted a ‘Create’, ‘Love’ and ‘Achieve’ teabag. They came well packaged and as soon as I opened the box, my nose went crazy! They all smelt just amazing. Of course, I didn’t know which one to start with so I went ahead with the ‘Achieve’ tea. This tea included Yerba Mate, Lemongrass & Ginger With Dandelion and will help balance your solar plexus.
“The solar plexus chakra is associated with willpower and ambition and the organs of the digestive system. Yerba mate is reputed to boost energy levels and lemongrass and ginger are well known to aid digestion. Dandelion can be used as a nutritive tonic to restore vitality”
I decided to try this while I was doing my online course on Mindfulness. The smell alone was just wonderful and it tastes so good! You can really taste the lemon grass and after awhile I felt really calm and relaxed.
I then went on to try the ‘Love’ tea which I think is my favourite due to it having green tea in it.
“The heart chakra is associated with love and compassion and the circulatory system. Green Tea can help boost your metabolism and cleanse your blood. According to Ayurvedic medicine both jasmine and rose are associated with love and romance. Cardamom has been used traditionally as both a breath freshener and an aphrodisiac.”
This tea has a wonderful, subtle taste and the taste still lasts after using the tea bag a second and even a third time. I’m all for getting your money’s worth out of tea bags and will always try and get at least two teas out of the same bag!
And the last tea I tried was the ‘Create’ tea which really made me question which one was my favourite!
“The sacral chakra is associated with creativity and fertility and the organs of the reproductive system. Cocoa and vanilla are thought to possess aphrodisiac qualities whilst rooibos is well known to be a good source of antioxidants. Ginseng can provide energy and may also improve thinking ability and cognition.”
This tea tastes just amazing! The smell reminds me of autumn and getting ready for Christmas! It’s inviting and instantly calming so this is now my new favourite. To be perfectly honest, they are all so lovely, you won’t be disappointed!
